We are hiring a Program Supervisor 

7 Month Contract with the Possibility of Extension

 

                                                                                                                                  

PACE is looking for an energetic, organized demonstrated supervisor to assume the role of Program Supervisor as a part of our management team.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Supervisor coordinates and evaluates the provision of quality support services to clients and manages frontline employees at a designated Supportive Housing location in the Toronto area.

The Program Supervisor works with the Program Manager, other members of the PACE Team and other community service providers consistently demonstrating and promoting the philosopy of "Independent Living".

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday with a competitive salary.  Given the nature of the role, some weekend, evenings and on call work is required.

What You'll Do

Client Service Delivery 

  • Plans, organizes and coordinates the delivery of all client focussed support services for their program in collaboration with their Program Manager.
  • Ensures that high quality services are provided in an efficient, cost effective manner.
  • Ensures that clients receive adequate and appropriate services.....independent living is translated in practice.
  • Performs client service level reviews and makes necessary changes to client Service Agreements.
  • Collaborates with the Program Manager, in the client selection process.
  • Orientates new clients to the organization and the program.
  • Implements new/amended client-focussed programs and services in conjunction with the Program Manager.
  • Schedules and attends regular meetings with clients.

 Program Related Human Resources Management

  • Supervises and mentors front line employees.
  • Identifies staffing requirements and back-up support for shift schedules for front-line staff.
  • Collaborates, with Human Resources and/or other program management employees, in the recruitment and selection process.
  • Ensures that newly-hired and or transferred employees receive appropriate orientation and training to the program.
  • Conducts timely performance reviews for assigned probationary and existing employees.
  • Mediates and, where possible, resolves conflicts involving employees and clients.
  • Represents management in Step 1 grievances, in collaboration with Program Management and Human Resources.
  • Ensures program operations follow Occupational Health and Safety guidelines including the organization's policies and procedures.

  Management-Related: Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned managerial responsibilities.
  • Escalates, to the Program Manager, or Associate Director, situations or issues beyond scope of authority or that may have significant ramifications.
  • Participates on organizational committees.
  • Represents the organization positively in the community and on any external committees.
  • Provides payroll coverage.
  • Assists the Program Manager in special projects.

 What you'll Bring

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in health, community, social services or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years related experience in the human services field, preferrble working with disabled  adults.
  • Three years of supervisory experience managing in a unionized environment
  • Strong coaching, influencing and motivational skills in order to build an engaged workforce
  • Deep interpersonal, relationship building and emphathy skills to drive exceptional client, staff and family experiences.
  • You are a self-starter that can work independently with minimal guidance, you're driven to achieve and able to operate in an unstructured and fluid environment by using strong problem solving skills to address issues.
  • Microsoft Windows skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). 
  • Strong passion for making a difference and helping people.
  • Valid Police Reference Check (vulnerable persons) & proof of COVID vaccination required.

Salary - $53,913.05 - $62,500.00
