PLEASE NOTE:

Travel from one client booking to the next is required

You are paid for 30 minutes travel time between bookings

If you're interested in "Making a Difference" in our client's lives, this role is for you.

You'll be responsible for delivering front-line support services as requested by clients and as set out in each client's service contract, ensuring that clients' needs are met safely, efficiently and effectively.  These services are scheduled in the client's home, school or workplace.  Travel around Toronto from one client booking to the next is required.  This opportunity is a great fit for someone who thrives in an independent work environment and enjoys a more flexible work schedule based on bookings, rather than shifts.

PLEASE NOTE:  In this role you will be primarily providing care to female clients.

You must be available to work the following weekly schedule:

This schedule may change based on client’s needs and operational requirements.

*****WE PAY FOR 1/2 HOUR TRAVEL TIME BETWEEN BOOKINGS *****

PLEASE NOTE - The main intersections for the bookings are as follows:

  • M9W - Hyw 27 & Dixon Rd

    M9V -  Hyw 27 & Finch Ave

    M8Y -  Islington Ave & Norseman St

  • Provides personal support services (i.e. lifts/transfers, bowel/bladder routines, dressing/undressing, sexual assistance, skin care, respiration, meals/drinks, general hygiene)
  • Manages time in co-operation with clients to complete tasks and ensures client's needs are met safely and effectively 
  • Works as a team as well as organizes own workload efficiently

BACKGROUND/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification is required
  • 1 Year experience in providing direct physical support services for adults with physical disabilities

GENERAL COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal, written and listening communication skills
  • Ability to accept direction from client's regarding services
  • Ability to lift and transfer clients
  • Strong problem-solving and judgment skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with others
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 computer skills (Outlook, Word)
  • First Aid and CPR certificate 
  • Valid Police Reference Check (Vulnerable Persons) 
  • Proof of COVID vaccination

After Probation:    $21.268
